Business Development Manager, North West London

A firm of International Marketing Consultants specialising in the sales and promotion of Brazilian farm/agricultural machinery is looking for a Business Development Manager to join a successful team and to drive forward the sales of farming machinery to Anglophone African Countries, the Indian Sub-continent, the Middle East and CIS territories.

 

This role offers long term growth opportunities for an ambitious, self-motivated and driven person. The role requires the individual to work with some of the highest-growth and fast mechanising agricultural markets in the world.

 

Key duties and responsibilities of this role will be as follows:

  • Sales and promotion of Brazilian farming equipment in Anglophone African countires, the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and CIS territories; Regular day to day liaison with principals' factories in Brazil, both with their technical support and warranty departments, and with Export Sales Departments, to obtain product information, pricing etc.
  • Regular international travel will be required, which will include travel to target markets, as well as to Brazil for product training and orientation, to attend trade shows, and to host foreign visitors and guide them during factory visits.
  • To organise field sales promotions and demonstrations of the equipment;
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with distributors so as to drive sales forward;
  • To build future sales pipelines through effective promotion of the principals’ Brand Image and to achieve market penetration;
  • To assist with the preparation of marketing plans;
  • To manage, evaluate and analyse sales forecasts and statistics;
  • working knowledge of Portuguese or Russian language would be helpful.

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold a relevant Engineering, Marketing, Economics or Business related degree paired with significant practical and sales experience within the farm machinery industry;
  • Display a positive, driven attitude with the desire to achieve;
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision, effective time management and analytical skills;
  • Have good understanding of general office IT software.
